About the role:
The South Orpington Learning Alliance Multi-Academy Trust is a vibrant Trust comprising seven thriving, inclusive, kind and ambitious schools in the London Borough of Bromley, and Croydon.
The Trust retains a strong and committed Local Governing Body within each school, focused on delivering the very best outcomes for children. We are always looking to build upon the strength and skill sets of our Local Governing Boards and are particularly interested in Governors with skills that would lend themselves to collaboration or are looking to develop or put to good use existing leadership skills. You will need to demonstrate an unflinching commitment to Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion.
Being a Governor of a school is enormously rewarding and impactful. Full training is provided, but you will need to be able to attend six evening meetings a year and one Governor’s Day. You will also be required to engage positively with the Trust in working to build upon a broad and engaging school/Trust partnership.
The role is voluntary and we would be delighted to address any questions or host school visits. If you would like to arrange a visit or discuss being a Governor please contact hradmintrust@solamat.co.uk
